I think webtoon does have a novel app (meaning I'm not sure if webtoon is the same company controlling this app as the app called Webtoon). It is called Yonder on G-play and IOS. IDK if HTSATA will make it on it, it currently isn't. Another novel I read from Lynx Translations, "LV. 99 The Princess of Dark Flare" is on it, although they changed flare to flame and LV.99 no longer has a space. Also, they have the novel version of "Dungeon and Artifacts" which also has the webcomic on webtoons so they might do both. FYI, most of their novels are only partly free with daily pass or coin restrictions.

I recently saw this novel on Yonder with Mythic Item Obtained.
It looks like both were licensed and taken down from Reaper Scans.
I personally like "LV. 99 The Princess of Dark Flare" & "Surviving the Game as a Barbarian"
The other novels are meh.

Now I have read a lot more of the novel and I can confidently say that you are completely wrong. Maybe it was a translation error (most definitely not since its an official translation, Yonder) but it was outright stated in the novel that Lucy's feelings are romantic. The novel compares her relationship with the previous archmage with Ed and it basically goes something like "the feelings she feels toward Ed isn't a familial one like that old man (i forgot his name)". Its different yet similar. There's also moments where she starts heating up from even being near Ed, Ed constantly worrying that she somehow got sick when its really just Lucy embarrassed from even hearing Ed's breathing and freling his chest. There's also making fun of Yennekar because she gets to sleep next to ed and Yennekar doesn't, getting jealous of Yennekar when Ed wants to give her a gift, and Lortel and Yennekar considering Lucy a massive threat when they notice somethings "changed" about Lucy (she became aware of her feelings). Also this was way before the timeloop arc as this was right before and after the Student Council arc. However even then there isn't one way for someone to show their affection for another just take all those tropes in anime for example. Tsundere, kuudere, deredere, childhood friends, etc they're all different and show (or don't show) different displays of affection in different ways. Like Lovecall said you kinda see it in a conventional way when there are really many different ways to show romance. (No offense though there's actually nothing wrong with seeing romance in only a conventional way)

Also I made it to the chapter where they die together. The novel explicitly says the TONE wasn't overly romantic (for obvious reasons they're going to die to a big mean dragon) but the implication and message is. It basically said "yeah this is a love confession that I can only say since I'm going to die anyway"

looks like reaper scans has stopped from translating this novel and i can't find the translated work as well,

However the UI is horrible. Broken search bar, bugs, glitches..it's unstable atm

There is no MTL in the world that can be called as an 'readable MTL', every one of them will destroy your sense of grammar

While I do agree with your statement of Patron's UI being sh*t, you should still read it from there as that's the least respect we can show to the person that's translating the novel. If you still want to read it somewhere else, you can try some pirate sites (though I'm not going to name them for the reason above)
