She was the owner of Bea's Dress Shop, retiring in 1978. Her husband, Harold, died in 1998. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina 67401.

Max D. Degenhardt HEBRON, Neb. Max D. Degenhardt, 82, Hebron, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003.

Mr. Degenhardt was born April 30, 1921, at Hebron. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, in 1999; and a grandson. Survivors include four sons, Dennis, Kenneth, Larry and Max Alan, all of Hebron; three daughters, Cynthia Mueller of rural Davenport, Shari Fischer of Hebron and Carla Mieth of Lincoln; a sister, Hazel Hartley of Chester; 18 grandchildren; and three -grandchildren.

Englund was born Hilda Rosella Swanson on Feb. 16, 1904, at Lincolnville. She was a homemaker and taught in Ot- MRS. ENGLUND tawa and Saline County schools. She attended the State Teachers College, receiving her life teacher's certificate in MRS.

9, 1927, at Kipp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy in 1972; a grandson, Richard Vernon Englund in 1959; three brothers, August Swanson, 'Arnold Swanson and Martin Swanson; and three sisters, Ellen Johnson, Alma Nichols and Ethel Mahoney. Mrs. Nordquist was born Naomi E. Ekstrom on Aug. 4, 1912, at rural Wayne. She was homemaker, a teacher and a church secretary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy in 1985; and a grandson. Survivors include a son, Robert of Concordia; five daughters, Doreen Couture of Abilene, Marilyn Conner of David City, Nadine Funk of Wichita, Annetta Patton of Clearwater and Pamela Campbell of Concordia; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Thursday. Nellie Gladys Osbourn LINN Nellie Gladys Osbourn, 98, Linn, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003. Mrs. Osbourn was born Nellie Gladys Thorman on July 21, 1905, at Greenleaf.

She was a farmer and homemaker. Her husband, Josephus, died in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Cushing of Greenleaf; a son, Merlyn of Greenleaf; four grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Wilford was born Vivian D. Hensley on Sept. 26, 1906, in Republic County, Kan. She was preceded in death by two sons, Maurice and Rex.

Survivors include three sons, Richard and Dave, both of Tucson, and Dennis of Port Orchard, a sister, Anna Mae Guise of Olympia; 13 grandchildren; and many greatgrandchildren. Young Laureen G. Young, 83, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003. Mrs. Young was born Laureen G.

Fish on Feb. 15, 1920, at' Munden, the daughter of the late Lester and Ada (Humfeld) Fish. She was a graduate of Wesley Hospital School of Nursing in Wichita in 1943, and; then started teaching at the As-' bury School of Nursing in Salina during World War II. She graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University with a degree in sociology. She was a registered MRS.

YOUNG nurse at Asbury Hospital for 26 years and started the medical assistant program at Brown Mackie College in Salina. She received the Windsor Estates 2003 Life Time ment Award. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, a Sunday school teacher, was a volunteer for the church and held offices in both local and state organizations. She served as a registered nurse at Red Bird Mission in the Appalachian of Kentucky. She was a former member of the Board of Directors for Asbury Hospital.

She married Warren A. Young on Oct. 5, 1946, at the University United Methodist Church in Salina. Survivors include her husband, Warren; three sons, Royce and wife Donna and Lee and wife Chris, all of Salina, and Kevin and wife Rhonda of Cheney; four grandchildren, Travis Young and wife Melanie of Winter Park, Erica Young of Fort Collins, and Jessica Young and Jillian Young of Cheney; and two stepgrandchildren, Jeff Belton and wife Beth of Kansas City, and Mark Melvin and wife Ivy of Kansas City, Mo. The funeral will be at 10 a.m.

Ann Rollins, 1100 Sunrise Drive, reported unauthorized use of a credit card. $1,134.92 loss. Meadowlark Ridge Elementary, 2200 Glen, reported two Cobra two-way radios; a digital camera and assorted toys had been stolen. Total loss was estimated at $415. Theft Adam Johnson, 1214 Wilber, reported an acoustic amplifier, subwoofer and about 60 compact disks stolen from his car.

Total loss was estimated at $470. FOUND PROPERTY An engine taken from a pickup truck that was stolen from A A Towing, 1332 N.
