She was a good professor and gave clear feedback on exams or papers written. I will say she does give a ton of information that is helpful but it is all over the place. She is very lenient however and does reach out to her students if they need help. Just be prepared to read a lot and participate in activities.

Way too many papers for it being a GEN ED class and a HISTORY class. I used inquizitive, which was really easy, boring, and took forever. Don't get me wrong, she is a nice teacher. I just felt like the class should have been easier. With the huge timed tests and the 5-7 page papers, I didn't really enjoy it.

Yikes. Well im stuck here now, might as well warn all of you. If you know basic ethics and care about human equality / rights do not take this class. Professor has some concerning views. also BIG red flag, This class uses Norton Inquizitive. just look it up on google and check the rant posts. This system is broken and infuriating. avoid if u can

If you're looking for a professor for a History summer course-- I would not recommend Professor Miller-- Or Professor Stratton! I've taken both of them for history courses and they are extremely assignment heavy for only 4 weeks. Her writing assignments require a lot- especially the timeline. I wouldn't recommend her SUMMER COURSES.

Professor Miller really cares. Responds to all e-mails. Gives you the benefit of the doubt on tests. However, if you take this test online, there is a lot to sift through. If you are familiar with Canvas, you will be ok, if this is your first year, it is gonna be tough to sift through all here material on canvas to find what you need.

Stunny and wonderful professor. Always open to discussion regardless of viewpoint. Teaches fairly and is willing to help wherever one may need it. She also makes an amazing effort to help and reward her classes for putting in effort. Easily one of the best Professors on campus. Just do your work, read, and pay attention.

The class is a LOT of busy work for not much to show for it. While the idea behind the busy work is admirable, the results are less than desirable. Instructions are often unclear, especially on her timeline assignment. Get ready to read a LOT. Also, while claiming not to, Professor Miller wears her political biases on her sleeve quite prominently.

This class is amazing! 5 assignments per week. She is very caring and gives lots of extra credit. However, she is a very slow grader. I took this class in the summer and it's the last week yet she hasn't graded work from week 1. Despite this, I know that I was going to get an A so I was not worried. Definitely an easy A!

Each week you will read a chapter, post surprises, complete inquizative (computer adaptive content), write a reflective essay on provided materials and a timeline of events, seen from a liberty/anti-liberty Lense. Two 5-7page essays, on the book 1984 and one of choice for many questions. Three exams.

Even though I took her class online I could see that she cared about us and our grades. If you ever need help ask her. She gives good feedback when grading and might even ask if your in need of help if she sees you falling behind. I believe she lost her dogs and had family issues during the last month of school but she still reached out nonetheless

This was the best professor l have ever had at BC. She was extremely caring and understanding. She is willing to work with you on every assignment through out the semester and able to meet whenever you need to. As well as answering emails very fast. If you have the chance, take her class, she's a great person. You will not regret it.

She gives too much busy work she has like 5 assignments every week but she wants you to do a lot of writing. She requires you read a book and write a paper on it. Then she also requires a 5-7 page research paper. Got a B in the class but if I had known there were papers involved I wouldve never taken this class

This was by far my favorite class. Professor Miller is extremely responsive, caring, and encouraging. Heavy reading, inquizzitve tests, primary source quizzes and two discussion posts/responses weekly. 1 book to read, with a report and a research paper at the end of the term. Be prepared to work and keep to due dates and you will be fine.

I took this as a late start course for the Spring 2022 semester. Professor Miller is nice but online classes just aren't meant for me. She does assign a lot of work for an 8-week course which can be a bit overwhelming for a full time student which was my circ*mstance, I ended up biting off more than I could chew.

She gives out SO much work. Yes, most of it is simple but it's absolutely overwhelming the volume of work she assigns. The readings alone are ridiculous, two weekly quizzes, plus discussions that you have to also respond to. Finals week- you're taking the final, two quizzes and a paper is due. Avoid at all costs unless you want to drown in work!

Professor Miller wants us to interpret events as whether or not they helped us become a freer people. There are five activities each week, a computer program that helps you study the material, a surprise from the reading post and response, a reflection essay (short), a timeline and a primary source quiz.

Work 5+ hours a week to even try to get an A? Each week: Read the textbook chapter, take a quiz on the chapter, submit 2 different mini-essays, participate in the discussion post, plus another quiz after reading required historical documents. Mid-term essay on 1984 for some reason, final research paper, and 3 separate exams on textbook material.
